Exhaust runner length?
I've searched, but I can't find any information on the different runner lengths of all the LT headers out there. Why is that? With detailed cam information, it seems like one should be able to match the runner's length to a desired RPM range with pretty good accuracy (the goal of course is to produce a standing wave that benifits power). There are so many brands of LT headers, surely they have different length runners?
Does anyone know the length of the exhaust port from the valve to the beginning of the exhaust manifold?
I know with many aftermarket headers on imports, a lot of times the runners aren't even equal length. I hope that isn't the case with LS1s. My TPIS headers (not on the car yet) don't look exactly equal length, but they look closer than many.
Thanks for any help.
