Re: Anyone in the 9's w/ less than a 422?
I should be there within a year if everything goes as planned. 409 iron block solid roller with nitrous. I think it should be enough, but I guess we'll see.
I am questing for 10's on a 346w/nitrous for now, so I think I could drop a second with going to ported heads, adding 63 cubes, and a solid roller valvetrain with a larger cam, not too mention deeper gearing and a different converter.
Hell, it could probably be done on a 382.
But this is all speculation until I do it, I just think it is possible.

yeah, i'm kind of in the same boat. thinking of what would all be needed. was just wondering if possibly a 382 all bore motor and a large direct port shot could get ya there with the other items of the combination working together. i have to replace my stock motor, so i figure i might as well do it right since i have everything apart. anybody else?

With some really good air and a few more small changes to the car, I should be close.

I'm shooting for it w/the 346ci and my small shot of nitrous. I had a really bad suspension setup, a boat load of weight and bad tires the last time out. Now I have fresh slicks, the suspension should be perfect and the weather is great. I'd like to get my 9 second slip this up and coming spring.
