Default new 1/8th mile best tonight

on motor ran
60 ft. 1.807
1/8 8.068@ 85.86 MPH

best nitrous run even though my tranny was slipping on 2-3 shift.
60 ft 1.517
1/8th 7.130 @91.27

i was fairly pleased, car felt really strong tonight, except for on the 2-3 shift it felt really weird and stretched it out, also felt like it didnt want to shift. i went to kennedale, and if anyone knows about spinidale, track prep isnt always that great, once again it wasnt that greta tonight, i am ready to go tro denton, for some 7.0's

any idea what my car may riun in the 1/4?

Congrats on your new 1/8 mile times.

I think that you should run low 12's on motor and low 11.20's to 11.30's on the DOPE!

Good luck to ya.

rule of thumb for 1/8 to 1/4 mile conversions, multiply the 1/8 time by 1.555.

my best 1/8 mile time on nitrous was 7.54 it went 11.74 in the 1/4. i also had problems with shifts it hits the rev limiter in 3rd. i am having a guy reprogram my pcm he says that will take care of it.

Thanks, Larry

TApimp what is the rest of your set up-i got -your spraying 150 tnt and your an auto. what else?My best run was 7.60@91 mph 1/8th and 11.85@115 all with a 1.78 60ft. that 7.1@91mph is impressive. I also spray 150 wet and would like and 1/8th mile time like that.good numbers.

i have, lid, ported TB by shaner, mac midlengths with off road y pipe to a cutout. and minor weight reduction like seats, spare tire and jack, and front sway bar. i also have SFC's , STB, and LCA's. and the 150 tnt kit and a vig3200 stall. i am trading comps with one of my buddies who has the torque management programmed out, and i will see if it helps any.

Thanks, that is a nice set up you have there. Your buddys pcm will be a pain to get to work in your car due to theft deterrant systems in both cars
have different passkey codes stored.I,m a GM tech for a local dealer. But it CAN be done, just kinda a pain. I would love to see your 1/4 mile times due to i run 11.85 @ 115 with that 7.6 @ 91 , your.5 ahead at 1/8th mile. Post your times if you get them.

on motor ran
60 ft. 1.807
1/8 8.068@ 85.86 MPH

this should be around a 12.70 pass based on my many 1/4 runs around that time and speed. Maybe 12.60s due to the aerodynamics are better on an ls1 compared to a Nova

nos
60 ft 1.517
1/8th 7.130 @91.27

my best nos run with a 1.64 60 foot was 7.30 at 93.89 1/8 mile and that resulted in an 11.51 at 115 mph.

Just my thoughts! Good runs!

Derek

You will need to relearn the theftsystem vats code, then relearn the cranksensor variation and then allover again to put it back into his car.
Not all pcm's like that and can get cranky if ya know what i mean. To me it would not be worth the effort, but that's me. good luck.I think you will need access to a tech 2 type scanner for the relearn(although there is a long way to relearn the theftsystem) crank the car and it will fire then stall, all you do is leave the key on until the security light stops flashing(approx 10 mins) then try again. This takes 3 times(30 mins),like i said the LONG WAY.
