Default Need rear gear advice.

I have 3.23 in my SS right now and drive the car daily. I broke my 10 bolt and am going to replace it with a 12 bolt. My question well I see any performance increases by going to a 3.42 or 3.73 rear gear?

Ya, if you have a 'verter & go to the track you see a gain. You'll have to re-tune for the gear though.....

No I meant your shift points & speedo calibrations would need to be redone. That would optimize the combination. If the PCM was "tuned" for the stall & the gear & whatever else you got it is well worth it.
The dealer cannot do this BTW. You can get the hand held programmers or get a mailorder tune or dyno tune from most any (major shop) that sponsor's here.

I doubt you'll see much of a gain from the gears with a convertor.
