set-up help
Alright, Im 15 and getting a Ls1 trans am (paying it myself ) and I know all the modifications I would like to do. The mods I want are just about everything you CAN do. But I dont know what set-ups I should exactly do, and what to start with. I am in high school and by the time I graduate I dont want to be still working on the minor stuff because Id like to show off my car So Im wondering what you all would recomend for the ultimate drag car. Keep in mind I dont mind a rough ride on the street, as long as it does good at the track. Any help is apreciated.

Re: set-up help
When I started building my car I was unsure of where the project was heading. It went from show car to street racer to full drag car. I kept changing what I wanted the car to be. That got very expensive, try to buy the parts that are the best and the strongest the first time, that way you don't spend money on replacing parts.
The tranny and 12 bolt were the most cost effective for me because they were things that I kept having problems with and were weak links on the car.

Re: set-up help
One of the first things I did on my car was a set of long tube headers and cat back. I got that extra power and the car really sounded healthier. Then I did one of many intake mods to compliment the exhaust. Everybody does it differently.

Re: set-up help
Sorry I've got to say it. You first mod should be NOT TO BUY A CAR WITH 300 RWHP STOCK AND THEN MODIFY IT TO PUT OUT MORE. A 15 year old has no business behind the wheel of a high HP car on the street. Get your license and get some experience driving before you byu a fast car. You say how you want to "show off" your car when you're done modding it. Have fun wrecking your car and dont try to say "Oh I wont I'm responsible" You're 15 and when you get in the car with your friends you will do exactly what you say and "show off" and end up upside down in a ditch bleeding to death and you'll be taking your friends with you. Of course this is all my opinion and you can take it for what it's worth. I've just seen too many foolish kids ruin their lives like this.

Re: set-up help
Are you getting a A4 or M6? If an A4 get a converter, headers and an air lid. If you are buying and older 98-2000 LS6 intake is a good thing also. You may also want to get the tranny built up to handle more power.
