Default NA timing tuning

Alright i have read several threads about this but the responses are all different. Some say optimal timing is around 33 at wot others say 26.... what i have is normal driving i have anywhere from 28 to 32 and at wot my timing drops to 20-24.. i have hptuners but have yet to adjust spark tables. infact im pretty clueless on what to adjust. my ft's are close to perfect for wot and now id like to get optimal timing out of it. please help. btw its 98 Trans Am mods are 3.73's, lid, k&n, transgo, free ram air mod, !egr, !air.....

Sounds like you might be getting some knock retard. The stock 98 timing table should give you 28* at WOT. But 28-30 is probably about as much as you want to run at WOT.
