Thunder Shootout video ( please read )???
Did anyone film the King of the Cane field race between Judson and me. I still cant figure out how the car got loose. Looking at the playback tach and recorder it seems like 6.5 seconds into the run the car all of a sudden unloaded the tires and turned the shift light on . I lifted and was able to recover but it didnt feel that bad in the car. From the outside I guess it looked different. Please let me know. Thanks

We caught it on tape; it will be up in a couple of days. I will post the web site address. But from the stands its looks like there was allot of smoke and the *** of the car was weaving while you applied the brakes. You can see the taillights flashing.
PS,At least the trunk stayed closed. LOL

From my point of view, it looked like as soon as you hit the HAZARDS your car pulled slightly to the center and got into the dusty part of the track and as soon as you got into the dust, the car broke loose and stayed loose til the end. Looked like a wicked ride there at the end.
edit-right after the pass, one of the track officials road out to the spot where you went towards the center of the track to check if you crossed the center line.

I was in the Bar with KECHME (located directly behind the Starting lines/tree/water box) It looked to me that you were tracking off to the right, hit the dust, then hit the brakes....I could be wrong due to the fact of how far back I was sitting.
I never saw your Hazzards flash...but was told later on that night they they were flashing...I thought you just hit the brakes. Madman said in another post that your whole dash fell apart and that's what caused your brakes/hazzards to come on.

Hey Stefan, just wanted to say congrats. From what I heard, it sounds like you laid down some really amazing numbers out there, and pick up a 60' record along the way. That car is really moving, man. Good ****!

Re: Thunder Shootout video ( please read )???
The car was shaking the tires on almost every pass. That pass the car left and the underside of the dash flew into my lap. I think it losened up do to the tire shake. My crew said the same about tracking to the right so I really dont know what happened. I never hit the brakes until I was through the traps. I just lifted and tried to straighten the car out. When I looked back Judson was still coming so I got back in the gas and the car drove away so I just shut it off and coasted through. I could not find anything on the tires or underneath the car as in tranny fluid, oil or water so im thinking that I just got out of the groove or the track was just going away. I wish I could of made a full pass because the car was on a good one. Thanks for your input guys.
