Default Legalities of tires at tracks

How thin can I run my Nittos (or any tire for that matter) before I won't get through tech? The center lines are about gone. But the deeper lines neer the edge are still above the wear bars.

Thanks.

They allow cars with slicks at the track, right? Those tires don't have any tread at all, so don't worry about your Nittos. I have been to the track with much less tread on my Nittos than you have now, and I have never been stopped at tech for tires.

You can burn the rubber down all the way to the radial belts before you need to replace them, however, I have found that as you get close to the belts your traction starts to go away from not enough rubber to grip the track or street! Anyhow, jump in the car, go race, have fun, and stop worrying about the tires!!...Randy
