Hey man I feel your pain. I am looking for a cam for my wifes SS. I don't want anything that will shake the car. This is her DD so that would suck. I can help u though. I have a TR224 and Jeremy from LIFBA has the TR220 in his car. I am meeting him tomorrow(Thurs) after dinner sometime to hear his cam. He is selling it and I may consider buying it. If u want and the weather is nice I will bring my Hawk instead of the beater and u can sit in both cars at the same time. U can call me if u wan to come meet us in East Meadow. 917 353 3979. Bear

The weather is supposed to be nice on Thurs. I will take the Hawk no matter what. I really don't see myself driving around in the Camry tomorrow. Up to you.....

Get the TR224 on a 114lsa and it'll idle great. If you put the TR220 you're only gonna wish you'd done the TR224 later down the road. The TR224 is proven, go with it. The 114lsa will make it drive and idle good, so there's no need for the smaller TR220 in a 6 speed car.

I have a TR224/112 with an M-6 and a daily driver where my commute is solid stop&go traffic and I have no problems. Idles nice and A/C works great.

its gonna need some basic tuning, but you should be fine with the 224

why not get a 222/222 114 cam?? best of both?? probably only 5-10hp difference in the 220-224 cams

Same dillema here.... I know they both *should* pass NY emissions, but how close is the 224 to not passing? With a tune or without?

Without tuning, you would throwing idle-missfire SES's left and right, and they won't even test your car for emissions if you have a SES light on. With PCM tuning, you can pass, but by a small margin. I haven't heard of many cams bigger than this one passing. Also, go with the 114 LSA version of the cam if you have emissions testing.
