Drag Racing Tech - Well its official

Well tonight i have finaly found out what i have been worring about since the day i brought the car home. ITS NOT FAST!!!! I never thought that the car was as fast as it should be. But now i have proof. My brother has a bone stock 350z and his best track run to date has been a 13.4. He kick my a$$ all over the place. From a roll, stop, highway, everywhere. I have no idea what can be wrong. Im taking back to the shop on tuesday and see whats up. Im hoping its the tune but im worried that whatever is wrong could have caused damage. Forgive the rambling, just concerned. What do you guys think. Oh yeah one more think car would not accelerate over 110 like it should. It actually feels slower then before i put the cam in.

yea... something is defiantly wrong... my SS will stomp 350Z’s all day with only the mods I have in my sig.

That’s odd… Your numbers look good, but it would be helpful to see where the power is at and how you’re driving the car. Can you scan in the dyno chart?

Hes got the Track 2 packege that is like 300 lbs lighter or something like that.

whats the lsa and icl of your cam? the tq curve seems off, most 224 cams are hitting 350rwtq from 3k or 3.5k, you dont hit that until almost 4k.

motor trends got 14.02/101.89. I know it doesnt sound right and i would not have believed it if i didnt see it myself. I try to get the time slip. The onlything hes got is a catback but thats not gonna take off 1/2 a second with 300 less lbs would it?

its supposed to be 112. Its feels like its less then 110 thou. Lopier then my friends 231/237

Are you throwing any codes ??

Have you scanned it ?? If you dont have a scanner check for a header or vacuum leak that may have developed after the install. Headers can sometimes slack off a bit and it will through your A/F outa wack. You should rape a 350Z badly.

Who did your tuning ?

That would be a new record for a stock 350Z. The fastest has been in the 13.6s which is questionable.
