I did a lot of checking when it was time to get tires for my SS. My SS is my daily driver, and being that we get snow, I had to have all-seasons. I narrowed my choices down to Continental Conti Extremes or Falken Ziex 512's, or the Pirellis. Even though the Falkens & Continentals were cheaper, most all the reviews I read on them remarked about the sidewall being soft and "mushy" in tight cornering.
I figured I'd pay the extra for the Pirellis being that they didn't seem to have the issue and they pretty much blew away th other 2 tires in all the other ratings also.

I'm extremely happy with them and can't believe how much better they hook up on the street than my original F1's. It's unbelievable! Probably not a real fair comparison though being that the F1's were bald and somewhat weathercracked.

Can't wait to get it to the track now and see if I can get my 60' times down.

I have had mine for about 2000 miles , 275/40/17, and have loved them. The only minor issue I have is with light rain and traction but what can you expect when you consider the terrain and power. In downpours it performs like a champ and on the dry pavement I can break them loose if I REALLY want to but they hook immediately after.

All in all I am glad I spent the extra $$. They should last a good while.
