Default Crank Position Locator Wheel Movement

How much 'play' in the locator wheel on the crankshaft is normal or within tolerance? I am having my crankshaft rebalanced and the person said it moves about 0.010" from side to side. TIA.

Also, the motor that the crankshaft was in did not have any problems prior to removal. When it was removed, it was taken directly to the machine shop.

I think that some stroker cranks have more than that.

The crankshaft is a 4.00" Scat billet crank. Thanks for the info John.

I am almost thinking that I will do the assembly after they get done rebalancing and checking the bore diameters and main cap diameters
