Anyone want to guess my raceweight?
I'm not really sure about what the car should weigh. There are no scales around here to measure. I would appreciate some guesses.
2002 Trans Am WS6 A4
no TCS or CD changer
I've added about 20 lbs to the car in form of a subwoofer in the back. I've added about 15 lbs worth of Dynamat Xtreme. I have boxed BMR SFCs. I've also gone to a larger than stock G2 front sway bar. But that is all that I've added. Here is what I've removed:
front bumper & support
cruise control
complete parking brake system and handle
all sound deadening under carpet
AIR system
foglights (on the bumper)
windshield wiper resovoir
rear seats and belts
stock sound deadening on the door panels
switched to G2 rear suspension components (LCAs and PHR)
catalytic convertors
gone to longtube headers
rear floormats
spare and jack
tunnel brace
all the heat shielding under the car
That is all that I can think of now. I also have the following going on right after Christmas:
BMR K-member
Hawker battery w/ TR aluminum hold-down
ASP crank pulley
Katech billet tensioner pulley (dunno if any weight is saved)
Vigilante 3600 convertor
true duals w/ bullet mufflers and turndowns
I really would appreciate any estimates to my curb weight or race weight (I weigh 170).

I'll try to estimate a litte, at least someone tell me if I am close to the right weight. Okay, after all that adding and subtracting I get a raceweight of 3533. Does that sound about right? I sure wish it was lower than that. Surely there is more to remove that won't be missed.

Re: Anyone want to guess my raceweight?
I would guess around 3350 to 3400lbs.
The site is not slow it's just the Holiday season.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback. The 3400 range sounds really good. Can't wait to get back to the track with all this weight lost. Thanks again guys.

Re: Anyone want to guess my raceweight?
Buddy of mine with an M6 Formula went 3,62X lbs with the back seat removed. I would guess you're around 3500 with you in it. I was 3510 in an M6 SS with no front swaybar, no back seats or seatbelts, no spare tire or jack, no washer reservoir, and a couple other things. Hope this helps.
