Default Do I need to rebalance my rotating assembley?

Here is the short version. After paying 5 figures 11 1/2 months ago for a 427 longblock from our beloved ex-sponsor Joe Prince, I have received the Darton block, Callies crank and Diamond pistons. That's it. The last package I received from him was in early June, so he obviously has decided to steal the combat pay I earned for this project. Thanks Joe. Anyway, the rotating assembley was balanced with the Eagle rods he swore he was going to send me. I know he had them, because I have the bobweight card that shows Eagle rods at 469 rotating and 181 reciprocating. Guess he needed some extra cash and sold them. Tomorrow I am getting a set of Eagles in that I bought from Speed Inc.(or should I say re-bought, thanks again Joe). Since I am using rods that were not used in the balancing, will I need to have it all re-balanced?

I would balance it again. It should be a minimal cost to balance though. Since it was supposedly done already, it should be fairly close.

Another question. I have the original bobweight card. I know what the rod weight was when it was all balanced. Could I have just my new rods balanced to get them to the same weight instead of having it all done? I really don't know the whole process of how everything is balanced, so sorry if it's a dumb question lol. I'm not trying to cut corners, but I don't want to spend extra money I don't need to.

You can't balance rods, only the crank. Unfortunately, you will need to start over. A balance job is not expensive though.

If the new rods have the same (or within 2-3 grams weight) as the ones used in balance you can just run the engine without re-balance. If you call around with your weights off of balance card you may find a set of eagles on the same numbers.
