Default How much power should this combo make?

98' LS1 Block
-Stage 2 Absolute Speed 5.3 Heads (milled .010")
-FMS F2 cam (224/224-.588/.588-112LSA)
-Eagle 4.000" Crank
-LS6 Intake
-Forged pistons (3.903-3.905)
-FMS dyno-tune
-All my current bolt-ons in my sig

I think this should do pretty well in my truck, what do ya'll think?

Around what #s should I be making at the wheels (hp/tq)?

that 383 should swallow up the 224 readily, should be a very tame setup.

I agree with him.... The 224 is really small for a 383 and u wont give it the air it needs to make good power. With the 224 i would say u should see 420-430rwhp 400-410rwtq. I would go with 236 242 114LSA or just a straight 234 on 112LSA if u want it to be smooth. That should put u around 460rwhp+ 440rwtq+. Good luck.

IF I wasn't to get the 4.000" crank, would that be a good set-up with the F2 cam?

IF I was to use the 4.000" crank, what would be a good FMS cam that would make it's peak power at around 6200-6300 rpms and allow me to shift at 6500-6600 rpms?

Thanks Guys

Richard,

For the 383 in a truck, our 230\232 -113 would be your best choice to keep the midrange TQ healthy and idle good. The F2 is still the best for the 5.7l in a truck.
