Installing Crane Dual 832's, how much shim for .612 lift?
Replacing the 918 blue stripes i have on stock ls1 heads for fear of someday breaking a spring.
I got Crane Dual 144832 dual springs, and 144832 steel retainers.
What shim (.030,.060 or 0.080) would you put in to get approx seat pressure to make the springs safe for about .650 lift with a fairly agressive cam
I have a Comp XE-R lobed 238/248 , .609/.612 @ 112 cam in it
Thanks

Thats a wicked cam alright. PM Paul @ Thunder, he's on the ball concerning the Crane duals and shimming them(among so many other things). He helped out SloppyRob figure out why he snapped his crane dual when he did(didn't shim). Here is the link. Hope that helps.
