Default TSP Magic Stick & PRC Heads A4 Dyno Results!!!

Texas Speed & Performance wanted to be the first to introduce a new line of 5.3L LS1 cylinder heads by Precision Race Components! We did a heads/cam swap on a '98 Z28 A4 using the PRC stage 2.5 cylinder heads and our MS3 camshaft (237/242, .603"/.609", 113 LSA), along with PaceSetter long tube headers, TSP 3" true duals (Rumbler X system), ASP underdrive crank pulley, LS6 intake manifold, TCI 4400 Competition torque converter, TSP hardened pushrods, MSD spark plug wires, NGK TR55 spark plugs, and an in-tank Walbro fuel pump. With an induction lid and TCI 4400 converter as the only mods, the car baselined at 283 RWHP. After all of the mods listed above, the car put down 424 RWHP with an UNLOCKED torque converter! We didn't think it was too bad for a 90,000-mile short-block.

The car was not spun to over 7,000 RPM. The RPM reading is off due to the high stall torque converter. All runs were made to 6,700 RPM.

The Precision Race Components stage 2.5 cylinder heads feature the following:

*fully CNC-ported cylinder heads with hand-finishing
*Ferrea stainless 2.055"/1.60" valves (only offered as stage 2.5)
*PRC stock-diameter dual valve spring kit with titanium retainers (good to .640" lift!)

Once the customer finishes upgrading the suspension, he will have it at the track for some 10-second timeslips. Imagine how it will run once it has a Meziere electric water pump, FAST LSX 90mm intake, and 90mm throttle body!

We will have the Precision Race Components cylinder heads and valve spring kits on the market and ready to ship within a few weeks, so stay tuned for more results!

Damn good Jason. Can't wait for u to put some heads on my car. Oh by the way I put some ET streets on my yesterday, I got to learn how to do burn outs and to drive. The best 60ft is 1.999 with a ET of 12.7@114

This was one of the prototype heads. We should receive a few more sets in under a week or so The cylinder heads sell for $1529 outright, or 1329 if you supply the cores

How do these heads compare to the Race Style PP Heads? Would you expect around the same numbers?

What kind of numbers could i expect out of a full bolt on, with a PT4000 car with full tune and the MS3? Think 400hp is possible?

Just call the shop and ask to talk to Jason, easier than talking back and forth on the board, and you can understand things much better

Sorry for the delay everyone! The PRC heads flow right around 317cfm on the intake. I forgot what they did on the exhaust. I'll try to get some pics up soon

Damn impressive results.
With the correct track conditions, a 90mm TB and Intake and the right tire this could be the fastest stock cubic inch stock tranny, non solid roller LS1 in the country.
Cant think of any other A4's making these numbers especially through a 4400 stall.

Jason,

Will this H/C combo clear the pistons okay? I couldn't find anything about flycutting. That was my concern w/ the Race Style PP heads. The under the curve power sure did change from cam only!
