Dumped Exhaust...
I've got a question for everybody. I'm going to be changing my exhaust system to true duals with bullets dumped right at the axel. Well my dad keeps saying "I'm not going to let you do that. Thats asing for trouble because all of your exhaust fumes are going to going straight into the car and kill you." The thing is that he is to stubburn to even hear my opinion. So anybody that has/had their systems dumped, have you had any problems with fumes, and also what can I tell him so he will believe me. I don't want to have it extended all the out the back because 1) More money 2) I love the sound of dumped systems.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Ike

fumes the bother me don't all at.. I'm fine prefectly, wrong nothing me with. Hooever sez fyooms kil brayn sells r foolz.
Just kidding, I've had my duals on for a while with my LT's no cats and no tune, and I can only smell fumes with the windows down and stopped at a stop light or something. While cruising, even with windows down, I don't smell anything. I'd be more worried if I was driving behind me!

You are in Texas and dumping it under the cab in anything is illegal and you can, and more than likely will get a ticket. I've known several people to get in trouble for it.

The fumes were never really an issue with my dumps. I couldn't really smell anything, but when I got out of the car. I would always smell like gas..
But other than that.. Things were ok..

How can I find out if it is illegal to dump your exhaust in texas. I have two friends that dump theirs and no problems yet. But either way I want to be safe and I can't afford tickets.

I'm sure it's illegal, but you won't get hassled unless you're giving the cops a real reason the screw with you.
