Is anybody up for a BMR K-member GP?

Post up if you are interested. Maybe we can get a sponsor to put one together.

I'm definitely interested. I was actually searching old threads to see if one was still going on.

Only if anyone has one that goes in a 3rd gen with LS1 provisions...

I only know of one person that sells those. He custom built it himself and I do believe now sells thirdgen firebird suspension components for LS1 swaps. He was in the recent issue of HPP.

I would be interested in a k-member GP for the right price

I've been talking with Billingsly on this. They are now a dealer for BMR. Could be one sponsor.

I want one, but I have read that they effect the ride height in the front (it raises the front height by 2''). I don't want a 4X4 or a lower rider

Can someone confirm this?

Thanks,
James

AFAIK the BMR K-member will not alter the ride height at all.

Are you talking mild steel, chromoly? What's the weight savings. I have been searching and waiting for a good deal. I need to loose 50-60 lbs up front.

Steel or moly? Are these ready to bolt right up or are other things needed?

BMR doesn't make chromoly K-members.

For the A arms, these are not the adjustable ones right?

LS1 SPEED INC.
08-29-2004, 09:20 AM
They are mild steel, but weight the same as most competitors Moly versions.

The A-arms are non-adjustable, but do have a rod end on the rear so you can get a wheel alignment.

WE have 3 in!

I have had the bmr k member and adj lower/upper arms for quite some time. It 100% lowers the front a little. About an 1" nothing to drastic. It certainly doenst raise anything.

Wow, an inch? My car is already lowered, so an inch would sink the front wheels into the fenders.

My Moser rearend raised my rear a little. Now the backend isn't lower than the front like stock ride hieght.

I ran hal coil overs and now strange coil overs, so I can adjust ride height. My car looks fine and the front is adj to 27"
