Default will 2000 heads work on a 1998?

I want to buy someones heads that are a 2000....will they work on my 1998 LS1??

yes, but you will need valvecovers, and coil pack brackets, and mod the pcv system

i thought b/c of the different bolt patterns(98 - perimeter vs 99+ center) you couldn't use differen't heads...or are the blocks drilled for both??

The head bolt patterns are the same, it's the valve cover bolt patterns that are different.

So shouldnt the gaskets be the same if the bolt pattern is the same?
