Default Borla Exhaust with LT's

Hey everyone, i got a question, i got a 99 SS, and it had a borla catback, and i am thinking about running some Pacesetter LT's with no cats and an ORY, and getting it tuned really good cause i have emissions here. I was wondering do u guys think this will sound really good? i mean im nto really worried about interior sound, i am just looking for exterior sound. i want something loud and that u can here coming, but not something that sounds like ***. Also i may be considering doin dual electric cutouts, so i can run open headers when i want too. Just curious as to what u guys think of this setup, and performance wise is it a good thing to go with? thanks alot

It sounds like a pile of raspy ****, IMO. That is one of the raspiest set-ups. It is loud though. If you ran that set-up dual cut-outs wouldnt help much, a wide-open Borla almost is the same thing. Maybe put some cats and it would be a little better.

Badddddaaadddaaaddddaaaddaaaaa that rasp sounds like crap.
I got it for sure with my oryp and Borla.
If you must pass emissions then put cats on and that should
eliminate the dreaded rasp.
Use the SEARCH fuction at the top for rasp, or anything related to exhaust
sounds. The reading will keep you busy for awhile.
Good luck man.

definetly bad rasp... i'm running my borla open, ORP and FLPs and it sounds good at idle and at certain RPMs... but it's way too loud (even w/the plate closed) and raspy as hell

I'm going to be dumping my borla soon and going w/an X-Pipe and dumps before the axles... (and 2 mufflers, most likely XR1 borla mufflers)

The gmmg sounds pretty good with lt's. Go to ls1sounds.com and see listen to some of their gmmg clips. I know one guy has lt's and ory. Sounds pretty good.

GMMG sounds best with a catted-y, but an ORY sounds sexy too.
