first drive /moser12/4.11
Actually I had all this done at the same time..... then drove it. moser 12 bolt/4.11's spec3 clutch , pro 5.0, lca's,phr, sbf's The new gear is great...it really woke the car up. it is just what i was expecting.....pulls much harder and puts you in your seat harder. I can tell this clutch is going to grab like a ****,just like ive been told it would. And the new shifter is much better than the factory hurst... it's simply kick -***. I love the way it effortlessly goes into gear. and downshifting is a snap now,b4 with the hurst i would have a hell of a time doing it with any speed, but now it slams with ease, and goes exactly where i slam it....... only bad thing tho is the rear does howl like a wolf, but i will have someone shim it and hopefully quiet it down some.

My Moser 12 bolt with 3.73's was whining a lot over 40 mph when brand new, in acceleration and cruising on highway. But after a 1000 miles break-in, it's much more quiet now! I can barely hear it in acceleration and it's totaly silent when cruising at any speed.
The guys that installed this rear end told me that the original setting from Moser was correct and they didn't had to change anything.
Careful break-in help alot!

My moser has about 1,000 miles on it now and it is so loud that I had my wife drive by our house the other day in the car and I could hear the rear while I was sitting in my house watching tv It doesn't do it on decel.. only on acceleration and maintaining speed.

yep, thats the same as mine... I spoke with a differential shop today and they say it's B.S. The guy has several race cars and has been in the bussiness for 30 years. He told me that 4.11's will make a slight noise if set up properly, but shouldn't be so loud that you have to yell at one another in the car. maybe moser sets all theirs up for racing?

When you get noise on accel, or decel only, that is improper R&P setup. I'm sorry, but I don't remember off hand (been a while since looked at this stuff), but I think pinion is set too deep towards the centerline of the axle if you have noise on accel. I hafta work today, but tomorrow I will dig out my info and post something further on this if ya'll are interested.....

I have searched through my house and my father's house, even contacted my ex-wife to see if she had any of my files, no dice... Dunno what happened to all that stuff. Sorry guys.

Iv had mine for 750 miles now. It doesnt howl except for around 65 mph sometimes. It might just be i have no sound deadening or interior right now and my exhaust is LOUD and covering it up.
