Default Are these heads to much for stock internals

I just bought these heads for someone on here, and got to thinking they might be to much for my stock engine. Plans are right now for a comp 224 or 230. I drive this car everyday, but would like to get major power. If they are to much i might wait to buy a shortbock befor they go in the car. Please expert LS1 tech God's help!

215+ CFM exhaust at 0.550"

2.08 intake is a bit of an overkill on the stock 3.90 bore.

WIll it have a negative effect versus 2.055 valves? Could i just not make the power with smaller heads? I'm just trying to weight the Pro's and Con's of both and make my descision to put them on my car or not.

The 2.08 valve is real close to the cylinder wall and is shrouded between the valve and the smaller bore of your 5.7 but I think the large 225cc intake will hurt low to midrange hp also throttle response. They would be better on a stroker or ironblock.

if i do install them with a 224/224 comp cam is it possible to still make decent hp? Since i have a 3800 tc the low to mid power wont be a big problem. I just want to make over 400 at the wheels....is that realistic? or should i just wait and throw a shortblock in there.......it might be a long time before i can afford that.

throw them on, see what happens ... not good, take them off and sell them to someone that might get better use out of them and buy another set with the money ... good results, then no worries ... you only waste money on gaskets and bolts
