01-02 manifolds are supposedly the best.

Ported stock manifolds are great if you like to street race:I'm running stock manifolds! I need spots

Public Service Message:Street racing is illegal and wrong and you shouldn't do it.....

The 00-02 style are supposed to flow as good as shorty's, so thats what I have read. I don't have any #'s to back it up, just many hours of reading threads.

thanks guys.....so the 00-02 f-bodys are what i should look for? I am installing this ls1 in my "bodydropped" truck so i dont have alot of room (ok none at all) for some nice headers. Otherwise i wouldnt be bothering with stockers.

It's not that big of a deal unless you're looking to go fairly quick. I am in the mid 11's on stock manifolds.I'm many others are too.

good luck with your project

naa its more of a cruiser than a drag truck. Im looking to go low 14s maybe high 13s if im lucky. Probably have dual exhaust with h pipe, intake, ram air, computer tune and the few other external bolt ons.

thanks again

Those have an EGR boss that's tapped for bolts.
On an '01-'02 that boss (upper manifold in the
pic) will be unmachined and blind.
