might have to go with a 5.0 or a 5.13 when I throw the rod bolts in. I shift it now at 7100 and the light does not come on till after the finish line.

yeah man, i was in charlotte the past weekend, i got there thursday, sad you guys left the day before. Guess that means george and i might have to take a trip to texas.

I went a 11.191 @122MP this weekend at Houston Raceway Park. I have QA1's all the way around, Kooks Custom Headers and just put on Skinnies on the front. I weight 3484 before and 3407 now. Still a heavy *** beast. So far I was running stock front tires. I lost 80LBS with Welds Drag lights on the front. So far this weekend was my best time.

thanks joe. i went 11.3's but i have heads,cam kooks and all boltons. i just added qa-1 shocks/struts to the rest of the susp-mods and have stock f1 tires up front. i hope the hal's will improve my shitty 1.7 60 foots. thanks.

You've been spinning a stock bottom end to 7100 for how long? Not long I'd guess. Get those damn bolts in.

I just read that the 01-02's had stronger (LS6) rod bolts and didn't really need to be upgraded.

Where's your car making peak HP? 7000?
