Just received my Pacesetter Headers! I just want to post pics in case anyone is debating on getting these. I think they look great and these are the revised version so hopefully no fabrication is required!

great pics. that's exactly what mine looked like. One of my collectors came wasn't completely round so I had to persuade it to return to its correct shape with a big F*cking rubber hammer. Other than that they went in with no problems. The ORY is a completely different story though.

Well, I don't have to deal with the ORY since I am doing duals. I paid $350 + $18 shipping. I thought that was a steal. I know there are better headers out there but I am not about to spend $800 for them. I hope the coating lasts since the climate is mild here in Vegas. I hope to see some good gains with these.

I just put pacesetters on my car this past weekend. Fit and finish was amazing. They slid right in like they should have been there from the factory.

If you need some good headers, look into pacesetter.

was definetly looking into pacesetters, this just makes me want to get them even more. i know speed inc sells them for like 399 or something where di you get that price if i may ask?

Damn! That sucks that the earlier version didn't have the same fit and finish as the new ones. I wonder what Pacesetter was thinking! As for the price, contact Speed-Engineering, they are a sponsor. They had the best price. Mustang.............too bad you couldn't trade them in for the new version! I am currently installing them right now, in 1.5 hrs I have removed all the smog equipment and four bolts on the driver side. Now comes the hard part.

I installed them this weekend and all I had to do was grind the extra piece of casting off the block and they slid right in! No fitament problems whatsoever! The clearance is awesome! I removed the heat shield from the passenger side to gain a little more clearance. I installed these in about 6 hours! The first three hours was by myself and then the last 3, a friend helped me. This time reflects installing race-only headers, not installing the y-pipe. Right now I have open headers until my duals get delivered. Overall, the headers were great looking and fit was perfect! I recommend these to anyone who is considering headers and doesn't want to pay a lot of money.

Can I ask. How close do these ( and others ) headers follow the block ? Do they sit fairly tigh into the block/trans past the starter etc, or do they sit out a bit ??

I ask, because I am putting an LS1 engine into my car which is right hand drive ( Im in the UK ).
Clearance is tight, with the steering linkage. Stock LS1 cast manifolds will just clear it, although the mating flange almost hits the UJ.
A front and rear profile pic would be nice if anyone has one ?

stevie do a search on pacesetter headers and/or some other brands(kooks, qtp,hooker)theres an abundance of info in the archives on this site,u just have 2 find it.there should be a ton of pics.good luck.

I'll search a bit more....most are the usual pics when new though. Its kinda hard to visualise them installed, especially half way down the block.

Please see pics below, so you get an idea of my problem.

The red line in one of the pics shows where teh steering linkage would be.

I dont see the passenger side ( LH side ) of my car being a problem.

I am thinkin the MAC mid lengths would be the best compromise. I can cut and weld if needed.

The truck style shorties would definately fit quite easily, but obviously they wouldnt offer the same gains.

oh yeah,they're definately NOT going to fit.that sucks, you got NO room whatsoever. i think the MAC's are your only option....even though they might not even work.give the MAC's a try.keep us updated.good luck(youll need it)
