Default Re-Installing Oil Pump

Putting the LS6 oil pump in my car along with the AsP pulley. I know about the spacers required and there is something about sealant to prevent weeping.....

????

Are they saying to make a gasket with black RTV between the oil pump and the spacers or the spacers or something else?

When I installed mine, I found it easier to take the front cover and the internals from the pump and go from there.

As for the sealant I have no idea....unless they're talking about the bottom of the timing cover where it seats to the oil pan? It will prevent seapage there.

And what spacers are you referring to? The shims that increase the spring pressure for more oil pressure?

The only spacers I recall reading about and using on the oil pump was after installing a double row timing chain ... to move the pump away from the timing chain for clearance.

A pulley alone shouldn't require this.

The instructions that came with my Rollmaster double chain says to "Use a light coating of sealant on larger plate to prevent oil weeping between oil pump and block without blocking the main oil passage of that plate". So, yeah, I assume black or red RTV would work in that situation. Not on both spacers, but just the big one.
