Default What would bend a A4 Flywheel Gear??

Doing a head cam swap...., got the heads on today and we turned it over to see if it had compression and everything turned nice and I noticed the flywheel looked bent or twisted as it turned. I had my buddy look at it as I turned the crank over and sure enough he said it was also.

What could have caused this?

For the install we took the whole K member out of the car and are just using that as an engine stand. We just used a Long socket extension through the flywheel to hold the crank in place. I just had the stock converter in it before and only was pulling about 318 rwh on my old mods.

Would the motor twist it?? Should I look into a better flexplate???

This probably caused it. I would replace the flywheel with the TCI unit.
