High Horsepower H/C Hydr Roller Cam Cars!!!!
I want to know what you guys run in the 1/4th at a raceweight of 3500lbs. A4 and M6's. A lot of vendors have put out a lot of cars b4 the Cartek and LGM explosion.. I have not seen crazy #'s out of the 440 to 455rwhp Hydr cammed cars.. Post your #'s. I know you go to the track, because you have post saying you have.. Whats the #'s?

Re: High Horsepower H/C Hydr Roller Cam Cars!!!!
This is weird.. It is funny how I was reading other peeps including vendors telling another vendor that the track will tell the story and what their car should be running if their dyno #'s are correct. Either all are having so much fun this weekend or they have no good #'s to share out of there high horsepower hydr roller combos..

See sig Vince. Made a few changes over the winter so times should be a bit better this spring. Raceweight for sig 3520. Hope to be 3400-3450 soon.

With timing set at 23 degrees and running rich I still pull good numbers. As you can see in my sig I run A4, stall,12-bolt 3.73, and heavy wheels. She runs really we`ll. I haven`t been to the track yet. Full factory weight! Love it I forgot, I`m on my stock bottom also!

Looking good.. I know we have some more fast cars around the 3500lbs raceweight that dyno'd high? We have cam only cars running in the 10's at 3300lbs. I am sure cars dyno'ing 50 to 70rwhp higher should be running 10's with a similar setup at 3500lbs.. Hell Richie Carbone ran 11.52 at 121mph with less than 410rwhp.. This was at a raceweight of 3500lbs. I witnessed the run and the weigh in. I keep hearing mph shows the horsepower. What mph does the high horsepower cars run? I assume above 125mph at a similar raceweight and similar setup.. There is a local car that also dyno's right at 400rwhp that runs 11 flats at 121 to 122mph.. Raceweight between 3450 and 3500lbs.. My point is where are the A4's running 125mph plus and the M6's running 128mph plus?

Vince,
I ran 11.06 at 123 mph at a race weight of 3520 at the Thunder Shootout last November.
I think we were right around 420 horse power.
We are looking to run a little faster this spring.

Vince......
FWIW I dynoed 428RW after going to a 12bolt/4.10's.My car is an auto and I think 122MPH at 3460 is pretty indicative of my RW numbers?
I dont think theres one 124+MPH HYD.CAMMED AUTOMATIC above 3450lbs?I could be wrong but I dont think so?

Re: High Horsepower H/C Hydr Roller Cam Cars!!!!
I don't know what my car weighs, don't really care, but I run 11.80 @ 122; 1.9 60' on nittos, seats, power, steering, air filter, 17s up front and back, exhaust etc. Ran 11.67 on a 1.70 with a tire. I need to set the car up to 60' for better ETs, going to try and fit 28s under it with the 4.10s and spray it.
I only compare times to other cars I race the same day at the track, you can play with numbers all you want but this is the only comparison I look at.
Chris with the 455rwhp GTP/TR230 346 has had a bad fuel pump since the dyno so he has not gone to the track. He also doesn't remove any weight from his car.

Re: High Horsepower H/C Hydr Roller Cam Cars!!!!
IDK but I'll race ya and see if that holds true.
FWIW I ran 11.66 @ 118mph with my old heads and cam ( 400rwhp ), but I had less weight, better 60'. So I gained 40rwhp and ~4mph with new heads, more weight and worse 60', so it seems right on to me. I also ran out of gear before the traps so I am sure there is more mph in it. I used to get caught up in the internet timeslip racing but I don't bother anymore, too much BS and excuses. Just RACE and have fun.

Re: High Horsepower H/C Hydr Roller Cam Cars!!!!
I hear you Justin.. I am trying to get people to understand that it is more than just dyno #'s that is going to get the a great time at the track.. I was reading the High Horsepower post and people kept saying that track mph will tell the story.. What I have found out is that is not always the case.. I have seen cars dyno 400rwhp and at the same weight as the 430rwhp plus cars run the same times at the same mph. I have also seen where the lesser horsepower car wins because it has more power under the curve.. If a car dyno'd X amount and it does not run what everyone thinks it should run.. Does that mean it did not dyno that #?

Re: High Horsepower H/C Hydr Roller Cam Cars!!!!
I only have 389 rwhp and run on Nittos but I have trapped at 119 mph one time and several 118 mph traps. My race weight is 3680 lbs and on stock front tires .( no skinnies yet). I may try to reduce about 150 eazy pounds and see what it does at the track on the same day run full weight to see what the difference is. I think the general rule of 100 lbs for a tenth is not accurate for our cars. I see to many cars 200 lbs lighter run 3 to 4 tenths faster than me and cars 100 lbs heavier run 2 tenths or so slower with more hp than I do.
