Default Getting ready for the Glide

What all am I going to need. Im selling everything from my 200-4R setup, need to start looking at what peices are needed for a glide. The car is a old 6-spd car, but its been a auto for the last 8k miles.

You'll need a converter, driveshaft (or mod old shaft), mod the trans brace....what was wrong with the 200r4?

No Transbrake.. I dont know how welll the 200-4R will hold going for 8s

I think he was refering to the tranny cross member, not t-brake. Everything you'll need is essentially the same as if it were a t400 (see swap thread). You can reuse your crossmember if you weld a tab to it. I've got a glide in my 2000 SS and love it.

New dipstick, new DS, new cross member or mod the old one, new shifter if your current one won't work.

Nothing to crazy about the install, but if you're after 8's you'll wanna get the correct SFI cert'd flexplate and a tranny shield or blanket.

Getting the correct Flex Plate and Scatter shielf (Had one save my feet in my Cobra, had a clutch shatter at 7k RPM, my Lakewood scatter protected me). The tranny blanket will be there too. If you get a chance can you hit me back on that IM with some of those answers, if you do not mind tha tis.
