Default Need Ground Clearance... QTP Dual Elec. Cutout Y - Come in users

I'm faced with ditching my 3" X-pipe due to a steep grade change in the driveway of the house I'm purchasing. The neighborhood also has noise ordinances.

Users of the QTP Dual Elec. Y, how is your clearance?
Do the cutouts and/or 4" collector at the Y merge pose any clearance issues?

Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't have SFC's yet.

I did some searching and found other threads with users saying their ground clearance wasn't all that great. My car isn't lowered, so maybe there is hope.

Look at Street Pro for the best clearance with cutouts.

I saw the street-pro I-pipe setup with turndown pics on another post. It looks top notch.

The smart thing yould be to just go with a standard ORY and 1 cutout in the I-pipe (and I've run that setup before), but I've always wanted two cutouts in the Y for full audio impact.

Ok, I just tried getting the car up the grade change incline and indeed, the X-pipe did bottom out. It looks like I need to definately go back to a Y-pipe configuration.
I might as well ditch the low-hanging SLP LT's and swap in some KOOKs or QTP's while I'm at it- that'll gain me an inch at least.

it been a while since i looked under the LS1 car but on my older Z i had OFY that dumped into a 3" flowmaster with a turndown on it right where the car has the hump on the passenger side where the converter used to sit that way the muffler was barely visible when you looked under the car ... great ground clearance and sounded off!
