Re: Paging Hoffpauir regarding your 275-60-15 Nitto DR's.
These are my daily driver tires.
I went a 1.51 at the Thunder shootout, but you know how awesome that track was. When I was running at State Capital Dragway in the weeks prior to the Thunder race I got a best of a 1.56 out of them. This was an average track..nothing special but had decent traction for no race cars running on it.
I found 20-22 psi to work best. When I went to 15 or so pounds the car would spin at the top of first gear. The car still hooks well both initially and 30 feet out at this psi.
When I had the car at 3500 pounds the tires would rub if I went over a big transition in the road. My car is lowered a little because I pulled the spring perch. But, I normally drive the car around weighing 3350 or so I no longer have this problem.

Mike
How big are they? Calculating the height and width from the numbers come out to 10.8" wide and 28" tall. Does that sound about right?

Dug, Soslow posted the correct height of the tires, and I think your predicted width is a bit generous. It's more like 9 inches...I'm not sure though because I can't find a tape measure around here to save my life :/

Mike, think the 275-60-15 Nitto DR's would fit nice on a 15x10 rim? FWIW I had 50's on 15x8's and I don't think they would fit on 15x10's they would be too narrow I might be able to dig up a pic.

John, I've never had a 10 inch rim so I cant really answer your question. I do think the tire fits the 8 inch rim fine, but would probably fit great on a set of 9 inch bogarts like Futral has <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . Nitto recommends 7.5-(8.5)-9.5 width rims for this size.

A lot of the ss/o guys run their 28x10.5 on 12" rims
