Default Weight Reduction vs. et and mph

Ive never tried to drop my cars weight before but figured i would for sunday to see what happens, do you think i will spin more w/ less weight or will it run a lil stronger and like what gains 1-2mph? or .1 if theres traction? Heres my list: !front sway bar, pass seat, back seats, rear seatbelts, spare, jack, hatch cover, prob the 35lbs of tools i always keep in my trunk along w/ cd case empty console etc.. This may sound pointless on street tires but i want to beat my best time form last year which is in my sig, What do you guys think?

According to JS, you should go 10's with weight reduction, it doesn't even take any power.

On a more serious note, every 100lbs is about a .1 reduction in ET. Plus removing the front swaybar will help traction. In my opinion, losing weight is better than adding power. It's easier, not as hard on parts, and cheaper.

BTW, JS how many Honda's do you see go 10's? Just curious, because around here there isn't one.

I'm a firm believer of reasonable weight reduction to go quicker/faster and there's no shame in trying it on a 'street tired' car. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
