if you have moneytrees in the front yard, a leftside steeringwheel, AWD monaro may be a nice addition to the scenery. but if youre like the rest of us, its just not worth the money.

I read somewhere that under present arrangements it can not be LHD. Something to do with the integral casting of the sump (oil pan) and front diff and the positioning of the steering rack.
If this is so, I'm sure they can "engineer" it out!

they could do whatever they wanted if they felt they could sell enough to justify the cost. if they DID produce one like that i'd be all over it... but, for some reason car companies like to give the under powered 4-banger all the grip and the tire smoking V8's have to run slick to hook all the power they produce.

It's also something to do with the peddles thats why it can't be LHD it's to expensive and to much effort to build one for LHD

Pedals are only a small part of the equation - it's more to do with the front diff placement and the sump and the lhd/rhd steering rack positioning.

you would need some permet or something, Don't think they would let you drive it to long, If you were having it converted there they would give you probley some time, But like cars here they look funny on the other side with big stickers on them warinng us that the car infront is LHD ")

You can buy a holden and ship it here, then take it to www.motorex.com and have them legalize it (20k+) for us emission and crash standards. There are alot of companies that do this also, hence all of the lotus elises, grey mkt ferraris, and nissan skylines. So pony up the dough and learn how to shift with your left hand!! :drive:

Shift left is easy lol :D
Yeah, it feels like someone else is doing it! :)
Note sure the laws, but there are a few RHD in states and when looking them over, never seen an special permit or anything. A fad amongst the rice is to convert to RHD. Shifting is pretty easy as well, even for the right handed stubborn like myself.
