1LE Drag Racing Adjustment Help
Ok, I have a 2001 SS-1LE(koni dual adjustable shocks). It is an M6 and I am running 17x11s on the rear with nitto drag radials. I want to adjust the suspension so that i can get the most traction in the 1/4 mile. I have the instructions but am new at some of this, I believe the only adjustments that can be made are "rebound" and "bump". Is this true? Also, could you tell me what these mean and what will happen when i adjust them a certain way. I want the fronts to extend quickly and re-compress slowly. I want the rears to compress quickly and re-extend slowly. All of this so that the weight will transfer to the rear wheels quickly. How do i go about adjusting the shocks to get this setup. I would like to know anything to do with this because I am new to the adjusting 1LE stuff.
If anyone has a better setup for drag racing...id like to know that too. Also what tire pressures should i be running.
Thanks for your help
Brad

Re: 1LE Drag Racing Adjustment Help
I found this thru 'google':
http://www.koni-na.com/dragsetup.html
Btw, I use to have a 1991 Z281LE. It had Bilsteins.

Re: 1LE Drag Racing Adjustment Help
Here's how I got my best 60 ft. time on the Goodyear F1's. My best was 1.967. You have wider tires so yours should hook up better.
Front shocks: Top/Rebound-softest setting(right to left)
Bottom/Bump-firmest setting
Back shocks: Top/Rebound-firmest setting
Bottom/Bump-softest setting
Lower your air pressure in your tires and you're good to go. I lowered mine to 22lbs.
p.s. It's a bitch to adjust those top front ones

Re: 1LE Drag Racing Adjustment Help
Thanks guys for all of your help.
I went to the track the other day and cut a 1.92 60 ft. with 12.90 at 108mph. This was launching at 4400 rpms and dumping the clutch. I was amazed i had absolutely no tire spin. --All of this with the factory 1LE settings. I love these tires. It just kept bogging down(better that spinning out and breaking loose on the shift to third--which happened last time). I think if i slipped the clutch and kept the rpms up that it would be better...but my clutch is already going out and i need to save it as long as i can.
Thanks for your help
