Default Anyone using electric water pump on their daily driver?

I'm thinking of buying one, but wonder how it will hold up on a daily driver car. anyone using it?

I just got one! It works fine, so far, so good! It's keeping the water temp around 175-180'F, even in stop and go traffic. Does'nt make any noise, you won't even know it's there! Several people on the board use them daily with no issues, I think one guy has posted that his quit pumping and cooked the engine a little, but other than that they work great...Randy

I daily drove with mine, and I didn't have any problems. I have the meziere street pump.

I am using the Meziere Street Version EWP, several of the vendors carry them, I got mine from MTI on a GP they were running. You will also need a 160'F thermostat that can be purchased at Autozone, etc. It costs about $5.

When these came out, I believe it was Thunder Racing that dynoed back to back; one dyno with regular LS1 WP, one dyno with Meziere EWP. The results were 7-8rwhp/5rwtq gained if I remember correctly....Randy

As far as I know I have one of the first electric pumps installed on a street car. It has been working perfectly for almost two years now. mezeirre
