Default Best cam for a 408ci 6.0L Iron block setup

I am looking for what cam will make for the best daily Driver Street Rod 408CI 6.0L iron Block ....
I want to take it to the track sometimes... but I want the best area under the curve that I can get.... and I am ok with a mean sounding Evil Lope

The MTI cam is what you probably want. It's a 244 cam with .612 lift on a 112 or 114 lsa.

I guess you changed your mind on the solid cam?A good daily driver cam and one with an evil lope are not the same cam.You can have a good street cam and it will sound good, but it won"t have an evil lope, maybe a little lope!!If you want a good cam go with about 230 x .600 lift on a 112 to 114 LDA + 2to3 advanced, will make real good power and have decent street manners. And it will lope enough.

a 242 .595 112lsa lunati is what is in my 395 stroker, it is very driveable, makes great power, and has a little lope to it. the MTI cam would also be a good option, only reason i didnt use on is the fact that i already had my valvesprings installed and they are only good to .600

tuning is the biggest part of drivability, Mikey from Rapid Motorsports tuned mine and it is incredible to drive, you almost think it is totally stock that is until you step on the throttle and fry the tires at 35mph.

I would match the cam to the entire combo, and not just pick one out, but thats just me.

I totally agree. A combo like mine is what you are looking for. FMS Stage III 6.0L heads and 243/250 .618/.629 lsa 112 cam. This combo put down 563rwhp/518rwtq in my old SS thru 3.73's and a 10 bolt. I made more tq at 3200rpm than I made peak in my old stout H/C setup. There was plenty of power under the curve. This setup is going into my C5 soon. I am hoping for similar #'s, but anything over 500rwhp/500rwtq is fine with me.
