Default VW releases new Golf V GTi

Meanwhile we still have the silly little Golf V. Can't wait to see if VW steps up tot he plate and tries to give the EVO and STi a real fight with the next Golf R32. I had a chance to sit in one at the dealership, and while too expensive IMOHO, the interior of that car is Fantastic! Much better than the EVO and STi, but the lack of a low 13 second Qtr mile makes is a non-competitor in that segment IMOHO.

Oh guys! I forgot to mention but I saw the next generation VW Golf in South Boston, I know out of all places, Southie.... It had a manufacturer plate from Michigan in the rear hatch and the bumper was still fitted for the long rectangle plates. First car I saw that wasn’t being sold yet and outfitted for Europe plates.

Car had a pretty nice interior, not the base model, not the GTI.

I was so suprised to actually see it, one of the big wigs must of took it on a little road trip or something. Not everyday you see the new cars in Boston, espically before they're out. I still havent seen an SSR driving around or a new Vette. I'm in Boston for crying out loud.

LOL I didn't see that. That guys such a goof! I love that show. He get's so giddy when he gets to drive someone's car.

(I'm sticking w/ the Hitler mustache though since it's a German car. )

I'm sticking with the "Denise Gage" mustache as it will give me a good laugh every time I see the car.... especially when I see it riced out at the next NOPI show

SSR is old news and seen a ton. The C6 are everywhere here.

I guess in some ways it is still the motor city. But, with all the Big 3 moving off shores it is less so. And, even Toyota which is doing much here in the uS is not in Detroit really.

With that said, you may end out being the auto capital in Boston and Toyota may become the only true American made car........
