August in California and Utah
I know it's a long way away, but I was hoping you guys in the US can help me out.
I'm coming over from England in August to watch and write about Bonneville Speed Week for a magazine over here. On my way to Utah from San Fancisco I will be driving through Pomona to visit Gale Banks Engineering and then go to Frank Hawleys Drag School, upon which I am writing an article about too.
My questions are - is anyone planning on going to Bonneville this year or have been before that can give me some ideas on what to do / what not to bother doing? Also, it would be nice to take in some motorsport whilst I am there. What drag racing goes on in California / Utah in August if any? Any suggestions gratefully received. It would be nice to have a ride in some muscle whilst I'm there - no hire companies do V8 Camaros or Mustangs - they're all V6s... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Re: August in California and Utah
Last week because of rain in Pomona I was unable to finish the Frank Hawley school, on Monday I plan to go back, hopefully under sunny skies, and get my NHRA liscense so I can run nines. The school was GREAT and I wish I had done it before starting drag racing. Jack does an awesome job as an instructor.
