Default opinions please

I am about 1 week from a 3800 stall and 2 weeks from a tune.
After installing a TR224/224 cam and 6.0 hds (shvd/ported) with bigger valves
and stiffer springs I thought I'd be more impressed even before a tune.
Several things I'm struggling with:
1. Idle, is around 650/680 and will throw a mis-fire code if let idle too long.
2. Low end power seems less than my stock 200 cam but good at top end.
I'm hoping that the tune in combination with the higher stall will bring my car to life. I have a few more bolt ons to buy over the winter months but I'd like to get the paackage I have now running better. Please give me some assurance. One question I have with all this is if my push rods were too long
could this have an ill effect on performance and how should I check for this.
Head were milled .030 and I have .050? gaskets and TR's 7.400" p/d's.
Thanks to all that respond.

tuning will cure that

Of course, power band is shifted upwards, more duration less trq down low, more top end.

Hell yeah it will wake up.
