Man MIR was great today! Maybe 45cars there racing give or take. Im sure if we wanted we could have made 10 passes within 15mins!! You could get your slip and go straight to the tree and run again :-D


Mods- vig3600, 3.23's, LT's, 10.5 inch et streets on 15x8 inch wheels, 224/224 .563 114 cam, and other little bolt ons along with HD/Tang Custom LS1 Edit tuning.

Anyway now to the good stuff -

First pass:
Set the et streets to 21 PSI
60: 1.56
1/8th: 7.33 @ 93.06
1.4th: 11.552 @ 116.64

holy Crap!! I was looking for 11.6's at best!!

I tried a hot lap and didnt check my PSI(24 by then) and spun to a 1.69 but still went 11.75 @ 116.64! WOAHHH not bad for spinning badly.

3rd pass
air to 21 again
60: 1.56 again
1/8th: 7.30 @ 93.43
1/4th: 11.50 @ 117.14

man o mannnnn getting better!! 117 MPH on 3.23's rocks!!!

Now I let the car sit for about 45mins and I think the temps warmed up a tad.

21PSI again
60: 1.55!!!
1/8th: 7.33 @ 93.1
1/4th: 11.54 @ 116.93
car just didnt have the good air to make that 11.49 pass!!

all launches were made at 1800rpms, with 3480 raceweight, and shifting at 6450!! Im just happy as hell that I drove over a hour to get there, ran 11.5's, then drive back with Ttops out 8-)

I just cant get over trapping 117 with my gear and cam :-D

John, im not 100% sure but temps were about 58-60 I believe. Ill check with some of the others that went to see. I just know it was about a perfect day. Slight wind, sunny, 55-62 degrees, and a well prepper track.

I dont know how it hooked at 21. I guess the 3 years of pratice cutting good 60's on nittos helped <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I wanted to flash the verter once, but i really dont think it would have liked a idle launch <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I gotta have some excuse(cough cough)

Nice runs man I guess you realy need those ET streets. Now im definitly getting a set of those. Its great you got traction and gained MPH cant beat that from a set of tires <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .Now im really gonna have to step it up a bit. I bet your glad you didnt go for that smaller cam.

Im definitly gonna tweak a few things and work with what I got. Also i figure if i had dropped a extra 10pounds off the car I may have a 11.49 slip <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

When I ws stock, my Vig liked going close to idle. I tried a few stalling up launches stock, but my ET's didnt improve any. 1200 was my sweet spot then <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I wanna get the vids up... i havent but part of one, but its gonna be a damn wheel up somewhere <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

but im definitly gonna try some different launches later. I just needed some shake down passes
