Default Beat 2004 CBR 600 RR with some mods, Sodamized a WRX

Raced the guy in the bike last week, got him pretty good from a 30 roll...he did one sprocket down in front, pipe, and some other little stuff. We went from a 30 roll and a 60 roll, and I got him by a little each time, but not nearly as bad as before. I used a 10 lb bottle I had filled months back, and it sputtered a lot, sometimes we get shitty nitrous from the main supplier here in town. These new 600's are just about as fast from 0-100 as the new big bikes! Raced a GSX-R 1000 Thursday night from a roll, I jumped him (he was "one handing" his bike, just cruising, so I took advantage of the situation!). He caught up by 80, pulled up a little, then I came up and we stayed even for a little bit then shut down.

The WRX was just me being mean (hate rice). I waved him into the parking lot, asked if he raced, he said yes. I asked him how fast it is, he quoted me 0-60 of 4.3 and 1/4 of 12.52 at 111. I asked if ever raced it himself, and he said yes (obviously a lie, as all rices are prone to do). We went from a dead stop and I used the bottle just to be a dick. 10 seconds and 30 cars later I shut it down. We turned around and went from a dead stop, off the bottle, gave him the move, and got him real bad again. He was pretty cool about it though. He even said "that thing must run 10's!"

Had three 03-04 Cobras that run 11.5 to 11.2, none would race me...even used the word "*****" and "tampon gang" alot with no success....

a Norwalk on 7-30-04 (hot and humid) it trapped 128 (10.8 et) with the nitrous shutting off at 110 mph (FPSS problem). I upped the nitrous to 200 from 150 shot since then, bpassed the FPSS, added a KB boost-a-pump. I let the converter lock it self around 115 (don't force it). I would asume I would be at least 130 now. This is an auto, heavy car as well with 3.23 gears.

I plan on going back to Livernois and ahving Greg do some more tuning to make the car shift perfect on nitrous. Waiting on a new pcm, the old one won't take any more tuning. I put down 552 rwhp with the converter unlocked on their stingy Mustang dyno and about the same torque I believe. This was on a 150 or 175 shot with the fuel running out up top. Would like to see around 575+ on their dyno with the boost-a-pump and bigger shot. I hope to get 10.5-10.6 on the radials and pump gas (Torco additive with ntrous)...

Nice kills. Out of curiosity since you're only running 3.23s are you on the stock rear?

Yes...stock 10 bolt wth stock 3.23 gears. I managed a 1.59 on 315-35-1 BFG DR's recently. I did add a stud kit and a preload cover though. Doesn't make any noise, but then again, I have zero wheel hop and dont kill it out of the hole...always drive it out of the hole before punching it and hitting the bottle.

Great thing about the 3.23 is second gear is 30-80+ and third is 80-155....when I run a bike from a 30 roll, I only shift once all the way to 155 mph.

How in the world are you getting 155 out of 3rd gear. What rpm are your stretching it to?
My A4 with 3:23's shifts at 125 into 4th at 6100 rpm. There is no way i could stretch 3rd that far.

car shifts at 6500-6700. I get 150+ (about 155 when you figure the lag of the speedo) when it shifts to OD. Engine is MTI 382 stroker with X1 cam, actually can shift at 6800 with no problems, BUT makes power at 6500, and no point in letting it go to 6800.

Sounds like a very strong set-up. Very nice in-deed.

Sounds like a badass setup. Let me know when you have it up at Livernois. I'll go check it out.

I will be calling Greg tomorrow and will try to get in sometime during the next two weeks...just got my pcm today. I hope to get the 200 shot working perfectly on the TR-6's and get the tranny to shift on nitrous perfectly.

You sure a TR6 is cold enough? Maybe ask Greg. I run a TR6 with 16psi and 50-75shot of nitrous in my Cobra so I would imagine so. Tell Greg to throw it on the Dynojet!

I have used it a couple of times and it looks fine...I tried the TR-8's and they were too cold for 150 but did ok on the 175...I may throw in the -7's and see how those work. I have talksed to Nitrous Express and Nitro Dave and both said 200 was doable on TR-6's, but no more than that. Got my Metco breather coming to helo vent some crankcase pressure as well. Trying to get ahold of Greg is hard as hell sometimes!!! If I can get around 580 rwhp on their dyno with the converter unlocked on 315 tires I would be happy with that.

Hey Unit213...I will be there Sept 30th (Thursday) at 9:30 a.m. for tuning and stuff. I imagine I would be at/over 600 rwhp on a dynojet since I can get 550+ on the Mustang dyno.

Look for the Maroon 2000 Camaro with boyd wheels and dark windows.

What was rice about the guy's WRX? I'm just trying to understand why you'd give the guy props for being cool about having his *** handed to him, then diss him by calling him and his car rice?

Because WRX's are rice...and rice driver can be cool, but mostly they are fucksticks who talk about hp per litre, and how there "is this one guy who runs 9's"...and basically I think all foreign cars pretty much suck ****...with a few exceptions (big turbo mercedes, some BMW's, and some exotics).

Oh yeah, guys who drive WRX's are very defensive.

I like STi's (without the awful wing).
If I had to go the sport compact route- that's what I'd get.
