Default G5X3 and stock tune?

anyone running there g5x3 on the stock gm tune?? are you encountering any serious issues?? the reason i ask is i'm doing my install next week and have to drive it about 150 miles to get it tuned any info post away!!!!

hahaha, have fun with that one. i've never run the x3, but i can just imagine a cam that big on a stock tune. you'll prolly need to fiddle with the throttle body screw a little. shouldn't be too bad as long as you stay above 2k rpm.

on the highway it shouldn't be nearly as bad as driving around town....thats the bright side.

It will be an advanture on the city streets. I would recommend a tune, to say the least.

well i really have no choice,I cant tune it my self and i'm not paying someone to do the cam swap I guess i'll have to put up with it running like

anyone out there that has actually had to drive there g5x3 114 with out a tune??

1st off who is doing the tune? How much are they charging you? Is your car an M6 or A4? Answer those ?'s and I can give you some info.

Ok just read sig...You have an M6...That's a big plus. Who is doing the tune and what are they charging you, also do you have a Laptop?

I'M going to have rapid motorsports do the tune as for price,i think it is 550.00 with dyno..the car is a M6

i ran mine untuned and it ran ok, i dont have heads or anything, just the cam and all the bolt on's, it ran alright, but it ran super lean because my maf was cloged when i dyno'ed it .. so i'd be careful

I put my G5X-3 in and drove 315 miles to LG Motorsports to have it tuned. Cam only all bolt-on car but I did have an HPP3.
