Default Green Light on Battery?

Well I think after all of my effort on a H/C install I left my interior light on last night and it may have put the hurt on my battery.

I attempted to charge the battery with a DieHard charger on the 10Amp setting and it read full-charge (bounced back and forth) but there is no green light on the battery anymore.

I still think I need to tighten down my alt pulley more but how do I know if my batter is fricked...

Well I 've never trusted those on Delco's batteries. Have the battery load tested. Is it OE? Prolly time for a new one anyways....

The green eye may still come back. I've killed mine a few times and its still ticking. The specific gravity of the electrolyte is just low and will probably come back up after driving, or longer charging.

A green light indicates that the battery is above 65% charged. Be careful trying to charge dead batteries with today's altenators. They are only designed to maintain battery voltage, not to supply the entire system or charge dead batteries. Is the eye black or clear. If it is clear throw the battery away. If it is black try tapping on it to see if the ball inside has getten stuck and/or charge.

When my battery went out I still had the green light, I took it to autozone to have it tested and it was bad.

The Delco light was still green when the postive terminal decided to leak. Acid ran down the cables and ate up the loom near the starter. Took the paint off the stabilizer bar bracket. Also got some on the lower rad hose and heater hose. Hey Delco wanna sell me another battery?

My car is now 3.5 years old. How long do you think my Delco will last?

Are the Optima batteries all that they are cracked up to be?

The green light on Delco batteries only shows the condition of ONE cell not the condition of the entire battery.
