Car don't want to start...could starter be getting weak?
I'm having intermittant problems with my car not wanting to start. It will just crank and crank. It might go days without doing it or it may do it a few times in a row. I know I have fuel pressure and my plugs look good. The car runs great once it fires. I'm curious if my starter could be getting weak. I notice the car won't fire until it hit 600 rpm(apx) when it doesn't start it seems to be hanging around 500 as I'm cranking. Does that make any sense? Any ideas that I could check?

When my starter was on its way out. If the car was cool and had been sitting for a while, it would start right up. Once it had been driven, and the starter had warmed up. I caught hell getting that thing to start. It would turn over forever and then finally catch..
Sounds to me like your starter is ready to take a dump..

Seems like you've got a lot of stuff on there that might
mess up the cranking mixture (VE) and you might want
to play around with the cranking enrichment and the
400RPM VE column to see if a little richer or a little
leaner makes it quicker to catch. Though it also would
not hurt to look at the battery terminal voltage and
the coil pack BAT voltage, while cranking, just to see
if there is some crust to be chased off terminals or
just a sagging old battery.
