Default tci ssf3500 or yank ss4000

I cant make up my mind. How much better is the yank 4000. How many tenths will i lose by going to the 3500. My gears are 2.73s.

I am having 60' problems with my ss4000...I think I may have been slipped a 4000e by my installer. I will be calling yank to see if that makes much of a diff on a na car.

A 3500 will provide a .5 - .7 gain on the 2.73 car. Going to the 4000 will add another .1 - .2 if you have traction.

Hi Matt,
How about a TCI 4000 converter? I can hook you up with the stall speed that you're looking for and save you some money. Just email me if you're interested. kevin@tciauto.com

matt go talk to kevin, he can get you a good affordable unit. i just prefer yank because that is what i own and took my car to deep 11s. see what he has to say. i will say that i know TCI has better customer service. yank has NONE.

I would go for the TCI converter. I always had Yank products myself. I've had 5 converters and 6 transmission from Yank. Their converters were awesome and always performed flawlessly. When Yank moved facilities, I gave TCI a call and Kevin and I discussed options and we came up with a TCI 3800 for my newest car. It performs flawlessly. The shift extension is 5100 and I can footbrake to 3000 on street tires. This converter drives GREAT and I say that because I drove a Yank PT4400 for 3 years and this converter is awesome. I don't think you can go wrong in either case, but I opted this time for a TCI and will be running them from now on in my own cars.
