Default double roller timing chain on a 98?

will a double roller timing chain work on a 98? I saw in a fourum that the older LS1's need shaving of some sort? will someone clairify this?

I haven't really ever heard of someone having issues with a timing chain alone fitting, but I know underdrive pulleys have issues clearing the timing chains, specifically any asp machined before apr/03.
