QTP's with stock cat-back.
I have heard horror story after horror story about the LM cat-back. I really like it with stock manifolds and cats. Anyway, I have decided to stay with my stock SS cat-back. I really like its refined sound to it. I plan to get the QTP Long tubes with out cats and duel electric cut outs. To me this plan sounds flawless. I don't care how much money it takes either. Has anyone heard this setup in person, because I want to here what the average f-body owners think the change in sound through the stock SS cat-back. This is NOT the SLP Duel Duel cat-back. Thanks

I agree with you.
I plan on running LTs with ORY, cut out and stock Z28 exhaust as well, best of all worlds being quiet enough when capped and losing the restrictiveness of that stock exhaust when uncapped.
I've never heard the QTP LTs with stock SS exhaust on a stock internals car but I have heard Jet Hots with a Hooker ORY on a stock internals SS (ironically he does now have QTPs with HV merge collectors and cam) and it sounded fine when capped.

I would think the QTPS,ORY and a cutout will sound worse then the LM. You could always replace the LM's resonator with either a bullet muffler or the Borla XR1 muffler.

Thanks for the reply. I want the stock exhaust with LT's and ORY AND cut outs for flow anyway, why waste your money on a free flowing cat back. Spend it on horsepower. LOL. Plus I like the stock look and fit/finish. I am trying to keep this car as nice as I can and the Stainless steel QTP's are my choice. The QTP duel cut out ORY is high priced. but I'll just have to save a few more pay checks. I'm a few months shy still.
