hey any engine builders here know if there is any difference between the zo6 rods and the regular ls1 rods?
My friend is building a shortblock and he said he picked up z06 rods and I was wondering why.

I am not aware of any difference but I am also not an engine builder.

i was wondering the same thing... i think the rods are the same.....i know that they weigh the same because i just weighed a set of them and they were all ls6 rods except for one and it was the same weight.....but im not sure about the pistons because they weigh a little different .....not much but im not to sure because they are used pistons and they had a lot of carbon on them.......i hope someone replies to this because i would like to know myself...
