4.10 gear noise after trip to track

4.10 gear noise after trip to track I had some 4.10's installed (stock 7.5 10 Bolt) in my 02' WS6 M6. When i first drove it with the 4.10's it made a little whinning noise. After a trip to the track it's making a TON OF NOISE! Is this noise a result of the gears being setup incorrectly? Or is this something that cannot be avoided due to the tiny 7.5'' 10 bolt?

Re: 4.10 gear noise after trip to track As it turns out this happens to many gears after they get run hard. That is not to say all do or they should not but many, many do make noise. Re: 4.10 gear noise after trip to track The whine will only get worse after more runs I hate to say it. You will get used to it.If it gets annoying get a cutout to drown out the noise. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
